Memberships enable the Library to archive, preserve and reproduce patterns from the collection, while funding the expansion of the Library's collection. |
WHAT IS A VPLL MEMBERSHIP?
The Vintage Pattern Lending Library offers yearly memberships to both individuals and groups. While you do not have to be a member to purchase copies of patterns or publications from our catalogs, ONLY active members may borrow patterns. VPLL members also benefit from a 10% discount on all purchases.
Annual membership fees subsidize the preservation of the fragile original materials in our archives, some as old as the mid-1800s, and allow us to expand our collection.
Because frequent handling would rapidly destroy the originals, all of our patterns for loan or sale are high quality, user-friendly, one-to-one digital replications (NOT photocopies) of the originals, and all are printed on 15-pound semi-transparent bond paper.
WHAT DOES THE MEMBERSHIP COST?
Membership is 25.00 and last 12 months from date of purchase. Membership includes 4 free loans per year, and a 10% discount on purchases. Each purchase also accrues points towards free patterns. Once the free memberships are used, all other loan items may be borrowed for 1 month at a cost of $5.00 per item. To join, please click here. Membership fees are not refundable.
